The NFL combine has put out some strange vibes. It seems that a draft which is usually built around running backs and quarterbacks is going to revolve around the linemen this year. Eight of the top ten estimated draft picks are all defensive players or linemen. Three of these are defensive ends. Its hard to imagine after the 2007-08 NFL season that these teams are worried about linemen. It would seem the defensive players might be a great choice to tackle because many teams set offensive records, but linemen! My mock draft picks don't even have McFadden going in the top five. Lets first talk about a dream draft. One where the big's at all out favorite teams actually make smart choices based on there needs.

The first pick in the draft goes to the Miami Dolphins. It is projected they will be taking Matt Ryan out of Boston College. This is typical. A crappy team making a terrible choice. The team that is by far the most terrible NFL team in the league wants to pick up a rookie franchise quarterback, that has less than a 25% of succeeding and probably losing all his trade value after flopping. How about you do something smart Miami and pick up Glenn Dorsey the defensive tackle from LSU. Miami got blown up defensively all season long. They don't need a quarterback because they can't stop the other teams from scoring anyway. Next up we have the St Louis Rams. The rams are looking at taking a top defensive linemen or end. Another terrible mistake. Remember the Rams team that was an NFL powerhouse at one point in time? And why were they so good? Because two receivers in Bruce and Holt. Why don't they pick up Malcolm Kelly or Limas Sweed. The two star receiver set has worked great for teams like St Louis in the past and Indianapolis with Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Third we have the Atlanta Falcons. At this point I am already so sick of these terrible calls, everyone knows after the Vick escapades and the complete lack of a decent replacement that Atlanta should take the gamble on another franchise quarterback. Why not pick up Brian Brohm or Matt Ryan and try to build your franchise around them? Its unbelievable that these three teams can miss the calling like this but we will analyze team four before I get sick with disgust. The Oakland Raiders come in at pick number four. They are taking Darren McFadden and hallelujah we have a winner. I can't believe that the Raiders are picking up a player they actually need. But wait, the Raiders can pick up anyone in the draft and its a player they need. They are so bad at every position it is out of control. Anyone they pick would be a great asset to the team.
