Basketball Betting Systems
There are many systems to go by when making your basketball picks. Most systems will work for both college basketball picks and nba picks. Your options are limited and results will typically vary. The systems I cover are the bounce back betting system, band wagon fade, and the nose-to-the-grind betting system. Each system has been broken down with pros and cons but everyone should take note that past predictions do not guarantee future results.
Bounce Back Betting System - This system is based on the idea that a team performs poorly on offense therefore forcing them to focus offensively which would cause them to perform much better in their next outting. PROS: There are two reasons this theory works. First, every professional athlete is competitive and will want to elevate their game after a bad performance. Second, their previous horribly played game sets in with the public and causes a very inflated spread in their next match up. CONS: This betting system does not not into account the possibility of key injured players, the chance that the opposing team may be coming off extra rest, or the chance that it is a revenge game. (Second match up after being beaten badly by the opponent in the first match up.)
Band Wagon Fade Betting System - This system runs on the fact that generally the betting public does not win over the long term on sports wagers. PROS: It is a fact that over the long term "Joe Public" will not see a profit when betting on sports. This is because of the juice put in place by the sports books. That being said, it seems that fading public opinion would be a sure fire way to cash in for some bling-bling. CONS: Many of the sources that provide public betting information are inaccurate. The important statistic is not how many more wagers are made on one team over another, but rather how much money is being wagered on each team. There are sports books that will give you the public percentage but they do not tell you if that is the percentage of dollars being wagered or the percentage of people picking each team. Also, if the books see even action on a game, this betting system does not come into play, making it impossible take sports betting picks to the winning level.
Nose-to-the-Grind Betting System - The sports betting system that gets the least credit for results, and is the most accurate is the nose-to-the-grind system. This betting system is when you crack down and access as much information as possible to determine which sports team you would like the make a wager on. PROS: The accuracy of all your research is based on your own work. You do not have to trust others to do the research for you and at the end of the day there is no one to blame, or pat on the back, but yourself. CONS: The cons on this system come from the problem that access to all the information it takes to make a sound sports bet can be very expensive. Assess to statistics databases as well as making contacts for important information such as injuries and local weather can be difficult to obtain. It is sometimes best to place your trust in a professional basketball handicapper to use with your own research when making sports picks.
