March Madness Bracket Picks

Written March 17, 2009 by Nick Jones

We are less than 48 hours away from what could be one of the most exciting and evenly matched NCAA Tournaments in many years. It is safe to day that any of the top 16 teams in the tournament could walk away with a national championship. However, the key word in that phrase is could. Whenever you are making college basketball picks it could be anyone’s game. But, if you are looking for those bracket upsets that could make your march madness bracket picks put you at the top of your office pool then please keep reading.

For starters we will go with a 12 vs 5 upset in the west. The UNI Panthers have the style of team that could easily upset a weak Big 10 team in Purdue. The Boilermakers are coming off an over-performance in the Big 10 Tournament and they are very due for a complete let down game. Expect the stellar outside shooting of the Panthers to pose big problems for Purdue. However, it is a one game wonder for UNI as they will face Washington in round two of the tournament. That being said, Washington could be the team to beat in the west with what should be a cake game for them against Miss St and UNI while UConn will probably be coming off a tough battle against BYU. This is going to be big trouble when Washington and UConn face off for a trip to the Elite 8.

Don’t expect to see too many upsets in the South which takes us to the East nor the West. This brings us to the Midwest where the biggest upset will most likely be when Michigan State takes down the top seeded Louisville Cardinals. Throw in a possible upset with West Virginia over Kansas and we are living the dream with the big upsets for our March Madness Bracket Picks being in the bag. And if dominating your office pool is not enough then sign up for a Million Dollar March Madness Bracket Challenge through BetUS Sportsbook and potentially earn some serious cash in the process.
